We all get cold in the winter and our dogs do too, that is the more reason we should pay extra attention to keeping our furry friends warm this winter in order to avoid them getting frost bite and hypothermia.
If your Fido is the outdoorsy type you can give them one of those Doggy jackets to keep them warm and also protect their paws when going for walks, however in the winter limit the walks to only when the sun is out. Another way to keep them warm although may be costly is to increase their protein and fats intake, however don't over do it to avoid excessive weight gain.
One other way is to provide a cloth or rag for them when they are sleeping on the bare floor, by either a thick blanket or creating a doughnut ring with one where they can sleep in the middle of it. If all these prove to be too much work, You can choose to keep them mainly indoors, just be sure to have toys handy so they don't get bored.
Avoid letting them off their leashes when outdoors so they don't wander off and risk gettin stuck or lost in the cold. If you are going on a road trip together with your Dog be sure to get dog seat cover that is weather proof and well insulated to keep your dog well and safe from the cold.
Don't forget to keep your Fido and your loved Safe and Warm this Winter and Play Safe.
