Before feeding your pet with human food, do research and make sure that it is safe. Never feed your dog with foods that are toxic to them like chocolate, garlic, onion, grapes, etc.

Here are some of the human foods that are safe for your dog to eat and is beneficial to their health.

Peanut Butter

Peanut Butter is one of the best food to feed your dog as it contains protein, niacin, healthy fats, Vitamin E and Vitamin B. However since Peanut Butter is high in fats and calories, it is good to let them eat it in moderation as too much could lead to weight gain.

Also, ensure that you feed them with peanut butter that is unsalted. Some peanut butter contains salt.  When ingested too much can cause vomiting, diarrhea and even seizures.

Egg

A medium-sized egg contains almost every vitamin and mineral that your dog needs and a lot of protein. Amino Acids, which are abundant in eggs are essential for building up the protein. Protein helps develop muscles, improves fur quality, and helps in tissue repair.

Eggs contain cholesterol. But dogs do not suffer the same as we suffer with cholesterol. In fact, cholesterol contributes to giving your pet a shiny coat.

But, do not let your dog eat too many eggs as egg whites contain avidin. Avidin inhibit biotin. Biotin is one of the B Vitamins that are essential for cell growth and getting your dog a good skin and shiny coat.

Carrots

Carrots are high in Vitamin A, fiber and have very low-calorie content. Vitamin A boosts your dog's immune system and improves your dog's eyesight. Fiber prevents your dog from having a runny stool as the fibers will help bulk-up your dog's stool. When your dog is overweight, carrots can help.  Carrots have low-calorie content which helps keep them stuffed without gaining too much weight.

Letting your dog chew raw carrots benefits your dog's teeth. Chewing on raw carrots help remove the plaque from your dog's teeth.

Make sure that Vitamin A is needed in your dog's diet as too much of it could be toxic. Vitamin toxicity could take a long time to develop. This is due to the fact that it does not usually appear until your dog is at least middle-aged. Too much of it in your dog's diet can cause irreversible damage to your dog's joints and bones.

Yogurt

Plain yogurt is high in calcium and protein. Yogurts contain active bacteria and have probiotics.  These are beneficial for your dog's digestive system. Yogurt can strengthen your dog's digestive system because of the probiotics. But, some dog can have trouble digesting yogurt. Dog's bodies aren't designed to digest lactose. Foods high in lactose can cause them to vomit or have diarrhea.

But only feed your dog with plain yogurt. Yogurt that has artificial sweetener or xylitol can be toxic to your pet.

Turkey

Turkey meat is an excellent source of protein for your pet. It is fine for them to eat turkey meat as long as the fat and seasoning has been rid of. The high levels of saturated fat can cause pancreatitis. And the seasoning could upset the stomach of your pet.

Salmon

Salmon contains a good source of omega 3 fatty acids. These are necessary for providing a healthy and shiny coat for your pet. Omega 3 fatty acids also help in improving your dog's immune system. Make sure to feed your pet with cooked salmon without the fish skins.
